A month has passed since we launched #YearofConnection Challenge, and thank you to our Everyday Ambassador community for celebrating the power of human connection! Once a month, we’ll be collecting stories, updates, and reflections to feature them on the blog, and check out some of our highlights below for the month of August.
Signing up for the Challenge:
Once we released the Challenge’s checklist, we had a number of fans sign-on, tweet about #YearofConnection and share some of their updates! Here are a select few of the messages we received:
Launching our webinars:
On August 1st, we released a pre-recording of our first-ever #YearofConnection webinar with Willy Oppenheim of our partner organization Omprakash. In the video, Willy talks with our Partnership Manager Anjana Sreedhar about “how to be a responsible voluntourist”. If you haven’t had a chance to view the video, watch it below.
On August 6th, we also had a webinar with Chris McKay of our partner organization Crooked Trails. In the video, EA Founder Kate Otto discusses “how natural disasters have the potential to enhance commitment and connection” with Chris, and for the first time ever, we live-tweeted this webinar. For highlights, check our Twitter page, and if you haven’t had a chance to listen to the conversation, watch the video below.
Responding to our webinar with Crooked Trails:
In response to our webinar with Crooked Trails, we received this message on Facebook from “Santosh Nepal” (pictured left) on August 7th: “I saw your video about Nepal. I am from chandeni village I have a some pictures of our village”. As a team, we were so moved by this update that we posted the pictures below, and in one of the photos, Santosh is with the person featured in our webinar, Chris of Crooked Trails.
Now it’s your turn: Take the #YearofConnection Challenge today, and download our checklist to get started and unlock the power of human connection in your life! Remember to share those updates, and if you send us one, you just may be featured next month. For more details, check out the campaign page.
“Bucket List” is a weekly series curated by Everyday Ambassador’s Director of Brand Strategy Audrey del Rosario.
